100% of all donations go towards website maintenance and updates.

How this project came about (a project history, in reverse chronology)

March 23, 2007 -- After a two-year hiatus, Atanas announces an initiative to bring the site back to life and up to date, in a self-sustaining mode. Begins accepting donations, 100% of which go towards site maintenance.

April 10, 2005 -- New website development is put on hold.  Website goes into maintenance mode.

December 7, 2004 -- The site is officially renamed to "ELS Alumni Worldwide."  Design changes are being implemented to reflect the change.

November 19-21, 2004 -- The site navigation is restructured; most photo galleries are grouped together.  "Borov in MX 2004" gallery is added.

September 4, 2004 -- The site was moved to a new web server for more storage space and faster downloads.  Email aliases "@114AEG.org" are made available to 114 AEG alumni.

July 27, 2004 -- "Messages and Essays" page was added as an open forum for classmates.  First entry comes from Emil.

July 18, 2004 -- "The Road Not Taken" was added as a springboard to an online discussion about the roads we take in life.

July 08, 2004 -- Vincent Borov went to Bulgaria and brought back 21 priceless photos.  He was able to visit with 8 classmates in a few short days!  All 21 photographs are posted in the "Borov in BG 2004" gallery.

June 04, 2004 -- We started a 114 AEG group on Yahoo! with message boards, chat, polls and more.

May 27, 2004 -- Emo Yalnazov came up with the idea for a Music Corner.  A great idea for a place to share some more memories.

May 15 - 25, 2004 -- Vili Panayotov provided 40+ priceless archive photos for the 1970s gallery.  A counter was added to measure site traffic.

April 11, 2004 -- "This Just In!" gallery was added to host pictures of recent classmates happenings. Emil and Atanas met in Philadelphia and took pictures.  Bogi also submitted a picture from that day (Easter).

January 27, 2004 -- We have had an overwhelming response from our friends from "B" Class.  Radost Fortunova and Vincent Borov provided tons of photographs.  You can see them in the joint V&B Current and 2002 Photo Galleries, in the Friends Photo Gallery, and through a link on our "Links" page -- on Misho Tonchev's website.

January 26, 2004 -- Our friends from "B" class like our project, and are joining with contact info and photos.  They have their own online photo album, which is accessible from our "Links" page.

December 30, 2003 -- Twenty-six years after high school graduation, Bogi Todorov and Atanas Entchev (yours truly) decided to get in touch with all our classmates. It was Bogi's idea, and it took me a while to warm up to it.

It was not going to be an easy task, given all the years gone by, and the fact that we were scattered all over the world. But that challenge made it all the more interesting.

We started reaching out, by email and by phone. We delved into our memories, and in the memories and address books of all those we had contact with. Everybody was very enthusiastic, and extremely helpful.

In November 2003 we put up this website's ancestor, and began encouraging classmates to send photos and contact info. We received a lot of responses, as well as some outstanding archive photo contributions (thank you, Sylvia, Boryana, and Maya!). The site is still growing. Each addition is a small discovery.

We would like to thank everyone for their contributions.  Without those contributions this site would not have been possible.  Please continue to send us your suggestions, comments, and all kinds of feedback.  We need your help to make this site better and more useful.

This is the third version of the website.  We hope you like it, because we intend to stick with the design for the foreseeable future -- while, of course, adding new information.  The first two versions became obsolete in weeks, because of the fast expansion of the project.  We think the current design will be able to accommodate some growth.

Finally, this site is written in English, because it's easier for us.  Our web publishing tools are English-based.  If we had to do it in another language, this site probably wouldn't exist.

We hope you like the site, and enjoy it as much as we enjoyed putting it together. --Bogi and Atanas
